Knitting in Room 7

Room 7 have recently started a new knitting activity every Friday in school. The children have really enjoyed learning this new skill and have shown great patience, concentration and enthusiasm throughout each session.

We began by learning how to make a slip knot, practising the steps carefully until everyone became comfortable with the technique. We have now progressed to casting on, which is an exciting next step in our knitting journey!

The children are developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and ability to follow instructions while also enjoying the creativity and satisfaction that comes with learning something new. We are looking forward to seeing how their knitting skills continue to develop over the coming weeks.
