Science Week 2020 - 5th Class

Last week we celebrated Science Week in Scoil Chiaráin.

We had a great time in 5th class doing lots of different experiments, STEM challenges and learning about famous scientists from Albert Einstein to Jane Goodall.

We explored sight and optical illusions, looked at light and made our own spectroscope, we made catapults and held the the Squashy Catapult Championships (which was great fun!) and we made parachutes using plastic bags and string. We finished up the week with a science quiz. It was a great week, well done boys for getting so involved and being so enthusiastic about science!
